SolsticeAK prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Bureau of Land Management’s proposed Recreation Area Management Plan for the Castner Glacier area in Interior Alaska. The EA involved analysis of seven different issues focusing on recreation, lands, and socioeconomics. Public involvement for the project involved differing interests from diverse recreational and commercial user groups, and SolsticeAK organized and facilitated a public meeting via Zoom to reach interested parties from several Alaska communities.
